Compatibility

Starfish has been tested on Solaris, Linux, and OpenBSD. It should work on most other Unix platforms, including AIX, HP-UX, and Mac OS X.

Starfish should work in any environment which supports the listed set of components. However, since Starfish is intended as a security tool, we are obliged to note that its use in any environment can only be as secure as that environment.

Use with extreme caution on any platform having a history of security vulnerabilities, or when the security of the system cannot be independently verified.
